Performance Acknowledgements are added to a student’s transcript upon graduation. Living Rock Academy offers 3 of the TEA acknowledgements and one that has been developed specifically for LRA graduates.
Starting at the sophomore year, students at Living Rock Academy may take College Credit classes through St. Philips College. To qualify for this Performance Acknowledgement, a student must complete 12 hours of college academic courses with a grade equivalent to 3.0 or higher.
PSAT/NMSQT: All students from ninth grade through eleventh grade take the PSAT test. However, only the score from the eleventh grade PSAT/NMSQT test may qualify a student for this acknowledgement. A student must earn a score as commended scholar or higher.
SAT: A combined critical reading and mathematics score of at least 1250 on the SAT
ACT: A composite score on the ACT exam (without writing) of 28.
Although less common at LRA, a student may take three credits of a foreign language (through LRA’s partnership with Pearson language Lab). Completion of 3 Languages Other Than English (LOTE) credits in the same language with grade equivalent of 80 or better will earn a student this Performance Acknowledgement.
Outreach Service to the Community
All schools have the option to develop Performance Acknowledgements specific to that school. Living Rock Academy has developed an Acknowledgement for Outreach Service to the Community. A student may earn this acknowledgement with 160 hours of Outreach Service to the Community over a 4-year period (80 hours if at LRA 2 years).
Contact James Johnson in the LRA office for any questions on Performance Acknowledgements.
