MS Volleyball Head Coach/Varsity Volleyball Assistant Coach
Lisa Johnston has worked within girls’ athletics since 1986. She has always enjoyed the opportunity to work with young athletes, not only on the fundamental skills of their chosen sport, but also teaching the life lessons essential in any Christian walk. It is her desire to not only teach the game, but also more importantly help build Godly character traits in these young athletes such as integrity, conscientiousness, perseverance, leadership, courage, compassion, determination, and dedication so that they can become strong, independent young women that have a love and attitude of service for the Lord and others.
She has been involved in coaching volleyball and basketball at the middle school and varsity levels, 1A -5A, for both public and private schools for over 30 years. Her initial 15 years of coaching were in public school at Yoakum ISD, North Side ISD in San Antonio, and Comfort ISD with her teams earning three trips to the UIL State Volleyball Finals and two trips to the UIL State Basketball Finals. The last 15 years she has also been involved in coaching volleyball and basketball at the middle school and varsity levels, 1A -3A in TAPPS schools. While coaching in TAPPS, she was awarded the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches- 2008 Coach of the Year for Small Private Schools and her team earned a trip to the TAPPS Basketball State Final Four in 2010. She can't wait to work with your girls!
