Students who enroll in a trip are placed in an art-appreciation class where they learn about the art, architecture, history, sites, and culture of their travel destination. Through lectures, readings, gallery visits, and hands-on activities, students will survey the visual arts of painting, sculpture, architecture, and how the visual arts relate to history and the modern world.
Students will also develop an understanding and appreciation of world cultures. Students participating in either a domestic or international trip will have an in-depth study of the various sites and places to destinations such as Washington DC, Boston, England, France, or Italy.
